Our Story:

If you are reading this, then you are probably a lot like us; avid outdoor enthusiasts, and passionate cross country skiers.

As the founder of Nordic Ski Source, I wish I had had a better introduction to cross country skiing as a kid. After a few boring, ankle-bending excursions on lousy gear with my family, I had had enough. It wasn't until I had little kids of my own and I knew my recreation time was limited, that I entertained an offer from a friend to reintroduce me to the sport. That was a while ago and I can't thank her enough for that gift. Now my kids are in college. I have raced regularly, trained regularly, and I have introduced many more people to the sport. When our family looks back at some of our most memorable memories, we inevitably think of family ski trips, many of which were down in West Yellowstone at the Nordic ski festival.

Nordic Ski Source was started to provide real customer service to the entire Nordic community. We have skied, raced, and toured all over the country and have experienced most of what passionate skiers experience. In other words, we have been there, and we are eager to help in any way we can to make your skiing more enjoyable.

We do business on the web the old fashioned way. We provide personalized, customer service based on relationships with our customers, and our desire to help. You can be rest assured that we make recommendations based on your needs, and our expertise. Our return policy is flexible, and it boils down to your complete satisfaction of any purchase. To that end, you won't see a massive selection here. Our job is not to offer everything under the sun, but to edit the gear down to the gear we can recommend. Most of our product descriptions are essentially reviews based on our experience with the product. We sell fun, and if a product doesn't function well, then we do not want to have it on our shelves.

Prior to opening Nordic Ski Source, we were Nordic customers just like yourself. We know what it is like to hunt for the right ski, and to keep the wax box filled without breaking the bank. We know that it can be frustrating to deal with salespeople who don't have a clue about ski flex, or with outdoor and bike shops who carry Nordic gear only because it can carry them through the "off-season".

We also want to make sure that Nordic Ski Source caters to a broad range of skiers. Our hope is that this site will help expose the sport to new skiers and alpine skiers seeking to cross over, as well as to the recreation, performance, touring and race folks.

Finally, we run this site because we love cross country skiing, and we love to share it with others. We are here to help, and we look forward to working with you to find the gear and advice you need.
