The wedge is designed to increase uphill ski speed (squirt), increase glide for skate and classic, and power transmission at the end of the skate push-off. It also can be helpful to skiers seeking to take some pressure off the tip section of their skis (softer snow or shorter ski lengths). The Wedge comes with the longer screws necessary for mounting with SNS or NNN screw-in bindings. It is not compatible with NIS plates.
