Atomic shaved 2 cm off of the shovel, and 25 grams off of each ski with the No Mex honeycomb acrylic core, which immediately translates into quickness as you begin to skate. This quickness allows a skier to potentially move into a longer and faster ski on the flats, downhills, and softer conditions without sacrificing anything on the uphills. An Aluminum/Magnesium laminate just under the top sheet distributes weight down the length of the ski, providing increased speed, stability,and flexibility in ski fit across the Midflex range. Sizing Recommendation:
We flexed this specific 178 Hard at a 46 mid-flex which is on the softer end of the Hard spectrum and is well-suited as a universal ski for someone 123 to 150 pounds. This ski has a shorter bridge, which is typical of 178 Hards, meaning it is stiff at the shoulder area of the tip and combined with the damper camber(1.7) this ski will provide good stability in hard track conditions.
