  Swix HF Waxes - 40grams
HF Waxes 40 grams Swix HF-4 to HF 12

HF stands for High Fluorocarbon. There are 5 waxes in this category, which are fluorinated hydrocarbon blends having a high percentage of a low-melt point fluorocarbon additive – a result of Cera F technology. The waxes provide fast acceleration, are side ranged in temperature, durable, and dirt resistant. The HF waxes are excellent racing waxes when used alone, and ideal when used in combination with Cera F as the over layer. Conditions of high humidity call for HF waxes. The HF waxes are packaged as two 20 gram bars in a box.

HF-4
Light green, -10°C to -32°C (14°F to -25°C). Normally at temperatures this cold, the advantages of fluorocarbon content become less. However when the humidity is very high, above 80%, and it is very cold, this wax is excellent. It is not necessary to use Cera F as an overlayer. Iron temperature 145°C (290°F).
HF-6
-6ºC to -12ºC (21ºF to 10ºF). At this temperature point the base blend to which the fluorocarbon is added also contains a combination of hard synthetic paraffins which have proven very effective at colder temperatures and abrasive man-made snow. Recommended final Cera F powder layer: FC7. Recommended iron temperature setting of 140ºC.
HF-7
Violet, -2°C to -8°C (28°F to 18°F). HF7 is intended to fit the important wax conditions that fall between -2°C to -8°C (28°F to 18°F). This popular formulation can be used alone or mixed with other waxes. Its consistency makes it easy to iron and scrape. A very popular formulation on the World Cup for both a race wax covered by FC100 or FC040 and a base layer wax before ironing on HF8 or HF10. Iron temperature 135°C (275°F).
HF-8
Red/pink, +1°C to -4°C (34°F to 25°F). This wax falls into a common wintertime temperature and therefore is used often. The combination of HF8 and FC040 of FC200 is a highly successful racing standard. Iron temperature 120°C (250°F). HF8 can also be used alone on older transformed snow with good results.
HF-10
Yellow, +10°C to 0°C (50°F to 32°F). For very wet conditions. Falling wet snow, rain, and a water saturated snow surface. At these temperatures dirt in the snow is often concentrated at the surface, therefore HF10 is best used with Cera F FC200 or FC080 as an overlayer. Iron temperature 110°C (230°F).

HF-12
Combination pack of HF-7 -20 grams and HF-8 -20 grams.
HF8BW
Designed for course, polluted snow between 34° and 25°.
HF10BW
Designed for course, polluted snow between 50° and 32°.
